Part of our mission here was to really reduce our electricity usage, not because we would magically eliminate big billowing carbon flumes flying into Santa Claus’ flight path or something of that sort by doing so, but because we intend to provide our own power via solar and wind as a means of it being, in the long run, a cheaper alternative, far more reliable, far more safe (see power grid hackers story), and other things of that nature. It makes sense to us strategically and economically.
